Decision Making Grid
Directions:
State the goal.
Identify the choices down the left side of the table.
List and rank the criteria across the top of the table.
Weigh the benefits and the costs by evaluating the alternatives according to the criteria, i.e., place a + (plus) if the alternative meets the criteria and a – (minus) if not. (Can also use two pluses for “strongly meets criteria,” etc.)
Choose based on frequency and placement of the pluses and minuses.
Re-evaluate your decision.
